Get Involved

The Democratic Club of the High Desert (DCHD) meets at 7:00 P.M. on the 4th Wednesday of each month (except Nov. and Dec.). Club members will also be registering voters at community events such as the, AV Fair, Palmdale’s Thursday Night on the Square, Fall Festival and more.

Make A Difference

The DCHD organization is chartered by the Los Angeles County Democratic Party. Politics can always be exciting here in the Antelope Valley. With the excitement of all these elections the DCHD Executive Board has decided to take charge by becoming more visible, promoting more activities, increasing membership, encouraging more participation and emphasizing that your involvement does “make a difference!”

Democrats are a diverse political body because politics does matter and affects life every day. The DCHD offers a variety of interests for you to become involved including:

► Government

► LA County Issues

► State Politics

► Medical Coverage

► Federal Politics

► Pensions and Retirement

► Education

► Community Outreach

► Living Wages

► Social Issues

► Senior Issues

► Community Resources

► Crime Prevention

► And much more

Antelope Valley Democrats can make a difference. For example less than 500 votes decided the Lancaster’s 2008 Mayoral race and the Democratic Candidate for the 36th Assembly District came within 3 percent of taking away the seat from the Republican Machine. The Antelope Valley is a community of hard working people who value education, security, quality health care, clean environment and water, and opportunity for economic growth. You must become involved and participate in your government and politics. Working together, we can let our “voices be heard!”
